Gift Box Punch Snowman - Who Knew?!!

I love snowmen.  Why?  Because they are cute and round and always make me smile.  The other day I saw a snowman made using the Gift Box Punch Board and it was created by an awesome fellow demonstrator, Robin Merriman.  I was really excited that I found some time today to sit down and make it.  Now, it isn't round like a normal snowman, but it's just as darn cute!!

I just love him so much!!!!  I think his family will grow through out the holidays.  I will say that the round hat was a tad challenging and the next one will probably have a square hat to match the body.  But all in all, I am thrilled with how he turned out!  Here is a list of the supplies that I used:

So now YOU can bring some snowmen into your life in the warmth of your own home!!! Bet you can come up with a bunch of them!!

Bringing Out My Inner Child

Can't help myself - still at 56 years old, I find such comfort when I color.  When I was younger, there was nothing like a box of Crayola crayons - had to be at least the 64 count box!  Ah, puts a smile on my face just thinking about it. Now, I have a new favorite medium to use when I color - Stampin' Up! Blendabilities!  I call them my "Adult Crayons".  Actually, I wanted to use the word Crayola in that name ... but those copyright laws really scare me!

When I looked through the Holiday Catalog, there were many stamps that begged to be colored.  One of those is the Partridge & Pears stamp and I finally had a chance to play.  Here is my creation:

Can't tell you how much I love the vibrancy of the Blendabilities!  Check out the items below that were used for this project.  You can also print out a supply list by clicking on the link at the bottom of the supplies chart.

Make Your Own Gratitude Journal!!

There is an awesome Simply Created kit in the Holiday Catalog - the Gratitude For Days kit.  It looks so pretty displayed across the wall and would make a wonderful Thanksgiving display.  I will admit, though, that I don't have any place to display this, so I thought, what can I do because I really love it?   Every once in a while these ideas flutter through my head and I finally got a chance to sit down and see if my idea would work.  And guess what, it did and I love it!!!  So, let me share a peek with you!!

I placed all the envelopes on a little ring so I could just flip through them.  You could use the Gratitude Journal for an entire year!  There are 30 envelopes and you could write down something each month!   And it's portable!  How cool!

I'm offering a class on making this on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.  The class fee is $30 and since I was late getting the project details completed, the deadline for payment has been extended to Monday, October 6, 2014.  You'll totally love this and you'll keep it for years to come so you can reflect on all the blessings in your life!  Also, you can make them now and give them out at Thanksgiving to your friends and family!!!

If you have any questions, just let me know.  To sign up, shoot me an email!! You'll love this class!
