The Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog as arrived in the hands of Stampin' Up! demonstrators and will soon be arriving in your mailbox for your Stampin' Up! demonstrator!!! I'm excited to share with you two videos of many of the products I received in my pre-order. I recorded the video this past Thursday, Aug. 3, but was plagued with technical difficulties! I'm excited to finally be able to share the videos with you! Enjoy and get your pen and paper out because you'll be writing many items down on your wish list! Enjoy!!
One of the things I've learned in stamping land is that you never know every technique - there is always someone out there that comes up with something new! This totally excites me because I love to learn and teach. The card I'm sharing today is a new technique for me by creating a background with reinkers (and you thought reinkers were just for reinking your stamp pads!!)
Isn't the card lovely? Special thanks to my model, my cat Dugan who didn't want to leave my stamping table. Notice the background under the die cut "friend". Yes, this was created with reinkers. Below is my video showing you how to create this card and the reinker technique!
The measurements for this card are:
Fresh Fig: 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" (scored @ 4-1/4"); 3" x 4" Powder Pink: 4" x 5-1/4" Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4" x 5" Whisper White: 4" x 5-1/4" Shimmery White: 3-3/4" x 5" The products that I used are:
I hope this inspires you to get out your reinkers and create!!! If you have any questions, please post a comment! Thanks so much and . . .
Something special happens when I sit at my stamp table and create. I won't lie - there are times I can sit at my stamp table and look at everything I have and my mind goes blank. Has this happened to you? It can leave you feeling a little empty - like you just can't get it going. Oh man, this feeling drives me crazy. This is one of the reasons I love my Paper Pumpkin monthly surprise kit. My Paper Pumpkin kit makes me feel just like Cinderella in her Pumpkin carriage - takes me to a place of happiness and magic! Let me share with you my June magic!!
First - here's a quick video of what comes in the June monthly surprise kit.
I was so excited, that I created one of each project and was absolutely delighted. This kit comes with the supplies to make six of these cards. Check out the envelope and the stamp "kindly deliver to:" - love the concept and the font!
The next item is the melon bag.
Yes - it even came with the melon tissue paper! You get enough supplies to make four of these adorable bags. I swear I feel like to need to have a picnic - right now!!
Here is a close up of the stamp set in this kit:
The stamp sets in the monthly kits are exclusive and don't disappoint. I love the fact that after I make the projects, I'm left with an adorable stamp set to use over and over again!! YIPPEE!!!
Don't miss out on the July Paper Pumpkin Surprise Kit. You need to sign up by July 10. CLICK HERE to get started!!!! Go ahead and be Cinderella - hop in your pumpkin today!
Now that the recipient has received this card, I can share it with you. From the moment I spied this set in the Occasions Catalog, I knew I had to have it. Do I make many baby cards? Nope, not really, but that didn't matter. I just had to have it. I'm so glad I did because it was such a pleasure creating this card. I stamped the image using the Stampin' Up! Black Archival Ink on watercolor paper and colored in the image using Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter. I'm sure many mothers of newborns would appreciate their babies sleeping like this the entire night - don't worry - it will happen and you'll become familiar with sleeping all night again!!!
Below is a list of the products that I used in this project.
The only item that is no longer available is the Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack. If you are looking for a great baby stamp set - this is it! And, I'll tell you - you never know when you're going to need to make a baby card!!!!
I always look forward to June 1st each year when the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog debuts, along with five new colors. I remember when the "In Colors" concept was introduced - wasn't really sure I would like it. Well, I didn't like it - I loved/love it! Why? Because it keeps the product line fresh and new. If Stampin' Up! offered the same thing over and over again, to me it would get boring. I also look forward to the Holiday and Occasions catalogs for just that reason! And to be honest - Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me with the products they provide me to create!!
So that you can get to know the new In Colors, I have a class scheduled for June 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. You'll get to leave the class with all five new ink pads of the 2017-2019 In Colors - Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig. You'll also get a package of the assorted In Color cardstock so you can go home after class and keep creating. The fee for this class is $45 and is due no later than June 12, 2017. Just email me if you would like to attend. Class size is limited so be sure to sign up now! What will we be making in class? Believe it or not, I actually have the projects planned. You will also be stamping the inside of the cards, along with an envelope - all ready to mail (if you can bear to part with them!) Here is a picture of the projects.
I hope to see you at class! Just remember - if you would like to attend, just email me! I can also email you an invoice so you can pay directly on line! Easy peasy!!!
I always get excited preparing for the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog including the debut of the new in colors!!! Today I decided to do a video on the color comparison of the colors to our existing colors. I'm still working on quality issues with uploading a FB live video!!!
Here is the chart that I prepared during the video:

One can't be addicted to too many things, right? Crafting addictions are not a bad thing, right? Okay, now that we've got that settled, let's talk about my new creation. Yes, I'm still stamping with the Just Keep Swimming stamp set AGAIN - my current addiction. I totally love the "three step stamping" feature of this set and how the images virtually come alive when you stamp them. Here is the card I created.
I've moved on from the monsters to the gummy bears! They really do look good enough to eat - but I'm not a big fan of eating gummy bears - too yucky in my mouth! I also pulled out the Stampin' Up! Ombre Pads and was amazed at how easy they make shading! Matter of fact, it was so easy, I did a quick video to show you which is below.
Lastly, here is a list of the supplies I used for this card:
