I am always amazed at the creativity of people. You know those people, they can make something great out of just a few items! On Stampin' Connection (a resource for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators), there have been a ton of bunnies posted using punches. What a great idea!!! So, this past weekend, we made this card using just a few punches. Is he cute or what!!??? While you might not have an Easter stamp set, you can create an Easter project using punches you have on hand!! I've listed below the punches used so you can re-create this cute bunny. I will say that during the first session of Stamp, Play and Create, someone mentioned using googly eyes. WOW!! See creativity!!!! So, I pulled out the googly eyes and we used them at all three workshops. They were too cute!!! I hope your weekend was great and if you have any questions, just let me know!!

It's been a couple of months since Stampin' Up! introduced their new line of clear mount stamps. After using them during this time, I will tell you that I truly love them. Of course, with any new product, there are a few little tips and tricks that will will make using this product a breeze. Check out this video featuring Bonnie Thurber from Stampin' Up! She'll show you how to mount the stamps and some hints! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
When I was little, we moved from Bermuda to Norfolk and I attended Northside Junior High School. I was in 8th grade and my favorite class was Home Economics (do they still have that class??). It was my first class of the day and we cooked (and ate) and sewed and did all kinds of things. I remember sewing dresses and skirts and actually wearing them! One of the things I have never done, though, is quilt. I don't know why -- maybe because it takes a while to finish a creation and I'm all into that instant gratification stuff (thus my love for stamping). However, many of my friends do quilt and their work is gorgeous! With the addition of the Big Shot to the Stampin' Up! product line, you can create objects to incorporate into your quilts, such as this beautiful quilt square!! I've seen some amazing works of art using the Big Shot and quilting - literally blows me away! If you click on the picture, you can upload step by step instructions to create this square, including items needed and a pattern. I can't wait to see what you create!!!!
Despite the fact that the Holiday Mini ended the end of the year, did you know that some of the items in that mini catalog are still available? Believe it or not ... it's true! Below is a list of those items:
I truly love the weekends. You know why? It's because I get to stamp and scrapbook with you! Sometimes I feel like I rush the week to get to the weekend and I only have a four day work week, but it is so worth it! Friday night was the Technique Class, Saturday was Robin Rubbo-Scranton's workshop and Sunday was the Happy Birthday Scrapbooking Class where we made 10, yes, 10 pages!!!! I can't begin to tell you how I enjoyed everything. I thought I would share one thing from each event with you!
The Technique Class is held on Friday night, one Friday each month. For the details on the next Technique Class, CLICK HERE. This is something I have been wanting to do for years, so the fact that it has come to fruition thrills me to no end. You know how you learn techniques, then after a while, you forget them? Yup, I see you nodding!!! Well, below is an example of one of the pages we did on Friday! It's cool because you put the pages in your album and you have the perfect resource!!! Love, love, love it!!!!
On Saturday, we created an Easter Card using the Abundant Hope stamp set. Here is the card!! We had a blast and everyone did an excellent job!
Today was our Scrapbooking Class where we created 10 pages using the Happy B-day Simply Scrappin' Kit. This is a great way to get your scrapbooking done and I'm always surprised at how quickly everyone completes their pages!!!! Below are two pages!
If you are interested in the Class Kit for the 10-page Happy B-day Simply Scrappin' Kit class, you can purchase it for $35.00. The cardstock will be cut and you will have instructions to complete the kit. If you so desire, I will create the pages for you. If the kit requires mailing, the cost of postage will be added to the kit.
I hope you enjoy the above projects. Next weekend is Stamp, Play and Create. Are you feeling the urge to stamp? Come .... stamp, play and create with us next weekend!!
This is another project we did at the Rich Regals and Bold Brights stamp club last weekend. The first time I saw this stamp set , Garden from the Heart, in the Occasions Mini Catalog, I knew I had to have it!! Of course, I do love images that lend themselves to watercolor, as I find it so relaxing! See, I can color, yup - many years of my new boxes of 64 Crayola crayons proved vital to my coloring experience - he he!! But, I can't draw. Nope, nadda, my drawing is pretty pathetic! I guess that is one of the reasons I was so drawn (get it .. he he) to stamping -- because they do the drawing for me! Anyhow ...
My inspiration for this card was one that I saw on Stampin' Connection, which is a website by Stampin' Up! for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I think the last count I saw was over 40,000 samples!! Whew! I have so much of this wide Twill Tape and loved the idea to use it as a layer piece! The hat image is stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto Watercolor Paper and I used markers and a blender pen to color in the image.
Below are some of the products used to create this adorable card. If you have any questions, please just let me know. You can post your question or comment by clicking on "Comment" at the end of this post. Thanks!!
If someone told me I'd be using roof flashing for a stamping project, I would have told them they were crazy!!! But, I would be wrong!!! Check out this awesome votive holder made with aluminum roof flashing, the Flower Folds Bigz XL Die and the Big Shot machine . . . and about five minutes of time! All you do is go to your local home improvement store, pick up some aluminum roof flashing. It comes in a roll, the one I purchased as 10' x 14". There are several types so be sure to get the aluminum. If you are unsure, just get the thinnest flashing they have. Then I cut off a piece measuring 5-3/4" x 14" (you can get 20 out of a roll) with my Craft and Rubber Scissors, then laid it on top of the Flower Folds Bigz XL Die. Put an extended cutting pad on the top and bottom, use two shims (two pieces of 5-1/2" x 12" Whisper White cardstock is perfect) and run through the Big Shot. Ta da .. you get four flowers, all cut and ready to go! Using the three largest flowers, just bend the petals up (you can fold back the tips of the petals if you want) and adhere the flowers using dimensionals! You're done - unbelievable!!!
But wait, you have one flower left, right? Well, here is what we did with that one . . .
You'll see that that flower is not smooth, huh! Well, all I did was use the Finial Press Impressions folder and embossed the roof flashing flower. Again, it is sooo easy, it really is scary!!!!
I urge you to try this. I'll be experimenting with different dies and the flashing so stay tuned. We did both of these projects this weekend at the Bold Brights and Rich Regals Stamp Clubs. I think everyone was as amazed as I was the first time I saw someone make the votive holder.
Below are a few of the products that I used to create these projects. If you have any questions, just let me know!!!!!
