Living in Norfolk, Virginia, I am surrounded by the military. Matter of fact, I am one of those "military brats". I was raised with my dad in the Navy and underwent several moves. Fortunately, we didn't move a lot and one of the places we lived was Bermuda. It is a very special place and holds lots of fond memories! I feel honored to have grown up in a military environment. I know the tribulations that my parents faced being apart - we didn't have emails and phone calls were reserved only for emergencies! But, that life has made me what I am today!
I am so glad that Stampin' Up! introduced a new patriotic stamp set called For Your Country. When I made this card and was drafting this blog post, the sound of fireworks was going off in the background. Really, my poor cats are quite over it! Glad it doesn't happen too many times a year!
