Snow = Stamping

What a wonderful Saturday I had -- watching the beautiful snow come down and stamping. A perfect combination! This morning I went out the took some more pictures and remembered that my wonderful downline, Vicki, brought these flip flops back from Leadership for me -- and the bottom of the sole had the Stampin' Up! logo! I went inside and got them and put them in the snow! I just love it!!!! Of course, while I'm out playing and taking pictures, poorly Mickey is shoveling the sidewalks and clearing a path to our cars! He does take such good care of me!!

So, here is one of the projects I created yesterday during our snow storm and yes, I was still using the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack. I also used the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt for the eyes of the owl - I so love how they look. When you adhere the Stitched Felt, I find that the Mini Glue Dots work the best; however, when you press the stitched felt to the glue dot, hold it for a second or two, then pull the stitched felt up and the dot will be on the back. If you don't hold it on the dot for a second or two, it won't adhere. I've listed below the products used to create this project. I just love it!!!

Stamp Sets:
Family Phrases (114960) - $19.95
I {Heart} Hearts Clear Mount (118571) - $18.95

Ink:
Old Olive Classic and Craft
Pumpkin Pie Classic and Craft

Other:

Scrapbooking with Phyllis

I thought today I would share the two page scrapbook spread that we did last weekend at Scrapbooking with Phyllis. These pages were inspired by a demonstrator named Melissa Stout. I'm so fond of the Sending Love DSP and was excited to use it on these pages. Yes, I need to get some photos on these pages, huh!!

I love how the journaling blocks are done with the Top Note Die for a very unique look. On page two, check out the circle embellishments!! The were created using the Circles No. 2 Sizzix Die. That die is so cool -- it punches out four different sized circles (the largest I believe is 2-1/2") at one time!! And, check this out, you can punch all three sheets at one time using the Big Shot! Once the circles are punched out, you distress each circle using the distressing tool in the Cutter Kit, then crumble up the DSP as much as you can. Then you later each circle on top of each other, insert a brad, a ta - da!!!! It is hard to see, but I used a stamped image from With All My Heart on the Chocolate Chip card stock!!

Below are some of the items used to create these pages. I hope this inspires you to create your scrapbook pages!

FYI - along with stamping, I get really excited for snow since we never seem to get it in this area!!! It is way too early in the morning when I'm preparing this post ... and we are supposed to be getting 10" - 15" of snow according to The Weather Channel! I don't think we have had that much cumulatively in the last five years!! Woo hoooooo!!!! For those of you in this area, stay save, stay inside and stamp!!!

Simple Thank You

Sorry I haven't been able to post the last two days ... me and the internet have not been playing nicely together. Hopefully, I can get this post completed!!!

Here is another post in my series of Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack projects. I love the softness of the Pretty in Pink, combined with the striped paper, Scallop Trim Border and Old Olive Satin Ribbon. The stamp set that I used is "Curvy Verses" and I included a picture of the stamp set below. It's really a great word set as it covers a lot of different occasions, plus it you have a problem with stamping straight ... well, no need to worry with the "curvy" verses!!!

I've dedicated my weekend to preparing for some upcoming workshops and hopefully some play time!! We are expecting snow (a rarity here) and the prospects of snow and staying indoors has really excited me ... I'm ready with Diet Pepsi and stamping projects. Woo hoo!!!!

Oh my, how many cards can one person create with one product??? Tons!!!! I'm still creating with the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack. I also used another stamp set in the Occasions Mini called Extra Postage. It has four adorable stamps that are so perfect to decorate even the outside of your envelopes!!! I thought this stamp was perfect because nothing brings a smile like being the recipient of a hand stamped card!!! I've included below a copy of this stamp set - it would be a perfect addition to your stamp collection!!!

Birthdays are for the Birds!

As promised, I'm sharing with you this week projects made using the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack. As you can seek, it doesn't get any quicker than this, now does it! I stamped the word phrase onto So Saffron, punched it out using the Modern Label Punch and inserted brads on each end -- then attached using Dimensionals. The stamp is from "Messages for Mom". I've included a picture of the stamp set below.

Come back tomorrow and check out another sample!!!

Crunched Flower Power

When I first opened my Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack, I was blown away with all the beautiful sheets of paper. I knew that we could make tons of cards and scrapbook pages with this one pack of paper. So tonight, trying to stay away from the television (hubby is a die hard Vikings fan and I'm way too stressed during this football game .. he he), I decided to use some of the Sweet Pea paper I had left over from a prior class. WOW is all I can say. One of the things I like about using designer series paper is it makes a quick and easy card. So many times it seems like there just isn't enough time to make a card when you need it -- and we don't have the luxury to sit for hours and create!! So, over the next week, I'll share some ideas with you for the quick and easy card using the Sweet Peal Designer Series Paper Stack.

The flower on this card is created using the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch. I punched out five flowers and stacked one of top of the other, staggering them a little bit. I tied the button on with Linen Thread and crunched each layer towards the center. Isn't it too cool???? This weekend I showed some of you guys how to make this flower with flowers punched from paperback book pages .. GORGEOUS!!! We definitely have to do this at an upcoming workshop! I also used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. Do you like the stamp?? That is from the Picture This Stamp Set, which is a Level 1 Hostess Set! I am thrilled with how this card turned out!!! Love it!!!

Below are pictures and information on the paper stack and other items used.

I hope your weekend was great and stay tuned for more quick and easy cards using the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack.

Yummy Bunny!

Doesn't this bunny look good enough to eat? I know we are gearing up towards Valentine's Day, but I wanted to share this guy with you because he's just too darn cute!!! He's one of the new additions to the Occasions Mini Catalog. He is sold as a single stamp called "Chocolate Bunny" and sells for only $7.95 (Item No. 116780)!!

For this card, I stamped the bunny using Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock. Then I colored in the bunny using a Blender Pen. Now, he looked really good at this point, but I was curious to see how he would look with Crystal Effects all over him. He (the bunny) loved it and so did I!! I swear, he looks just like the easter bunnies I would get in my easter basket when I was a kid (that was yesterday .. he he). Of course, he needed something to go with him, so I stamped the easter basket from the Sock Monkey Accessories (thanks to Betty for reminding me that there was a basket in that set) and colored that in also -- and yes, I cut out both the bunny and easter baskets. The bottom edge of the card is from the Eggcellent Egg Kit. I've really enjoyed creating with the Eggcellent Egg Kit because not only is it for decorating easter eggs, but you can use it to decorate cards and other projects! It sells for only $9.95 (Item No. 117179) and below is a picture of the kit.

Cool, huh!! Now what this picture doesn't really show well is the "bling". In the upper right hand corner, there are clear self-adhesive rhinestones. Oh gosh, they are sooooo cool, I don't want to use them!!! But wait, I can just buy some more, huh!

Hum, I think I need to go nibble on a piece of chocolate. All this chocolate bunny talk is making me hungry!! See ya later!!

Sweetheart Treats

I had so much fun today at our Rich Regals Stamp Club. I hadn't stamped all week and I was going through withdraws! I don't like not getting a chance to stamp. It just ain't right!!

Well, I'm sharing a project that I made after our club meeting today. We were talking about the Heart Treat Cups and I pulled them out to show and created the center piece using the Heart Treat Cups and Sweetheart Stamp Set. After everyone left, I finished the card. I know I'm a bit prejudice, but I love how it turned out!! Now, if you are looking in the Occasions Mini Catalog to find them, you won't. Sad, but true. Click here to view the flyer for the Heart Treat Cups, as well as the Sweetheart Stamp Set. As you can see from this project, it just isn't for Valentine's Day -- it can be used all year around!!!

I hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful and I do hope you get a chance to stamp!! It makes me feel GREAT when I do -- and I want you to feel GREAT!!!

See ya!!!

To Have and To Hold

Well, I must admit that I had an absolutely wonderful weekend, I stamped and spent time with hubby watching one of his favorite things - football. To follow up on that, I was lucky enough to actually get off of work on time today (geez - is this what it is really like??). I prepared the pages for the Technique Class coming up on January 22 at 7 pm. I kept thinking while I was preparing how nice it will be to have techniques in one place!! I'm way too excited about this class!!! Click here for the scoop on the Techniques Class.

After preparing dinner (I know, can you believe it?), I decided to take a peek at the Mojo Monday sketch and played along, thus resulting in this card!! I decided to use the Sending Love Specialty Paper, one of the unglittered sides, and a stamp set I've never used - Everything Nice. Although the Mojo Monday sketch had one additional embellishment, after I tied the bow I decided, like Goldilocks, it was "just right". Take notice of the ribbon - which is the new 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon in the Occasions Mini. It comes in nine colors that you'll love!

I've listed below the products used for this card as well as the Mojo Monday sketch. Go check out the Mojo Monday website and you'll see some of the other creations with this sketch!!
