Teacher's Gift

I know many moms are glad that the school year is getting ready to start (and already has for some schools). Usually the kids are ready to go back to school to see their friends or because, well, they're just plain ready! Well, I'm ready because my boss's son, Patrick, who is my adopted son for purposes of creating things, is ready for his class treats for the holidays and this teacher's gift, which I'm really excited to share with you!!! I so so so wish that you could see this in real life!!! I had such fun making it. So, I'll tell you a little bit about it!

First, I totally got this idea for the pencil box from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator and immediately thought it would be great for Patrick's teacher! Nothing like getting the year started off on the right foot. Then, I thought about what supplies to use and knew that I wanted to pull out the "Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Series Paper". What is so special about this paper? It's heavy-weight cardstock that will really hold up well for this project and its beautiful!!! The only stamp I used was the "just for you" on the card and the leaf pattern on the envelope! There is a stamp set called "Day of Gratitude" that coordinates perfectly with this stamp set. I used the Autumn Spice paper for the decorations on the box and card just by cutting them out and yes, they are very easy to cut!!! I also used the Basic Pearls, which are half pearls that have adhesive on them already to decorate the box and card, as well as some Cajun Craze brads!!! And, the Autumn Spice SDPS and Day of Gratitude Stamp Set are in the Holiday Mini and you can begin ordering from the Holiday Mini tomorrow (9/1/10)!!!! Woo hoo!!

Below are some more pictures of this project.

To tell you the truth, it's so pretty that I don't want to part with it!!! But, alas, I will because I know his new teacher will love it!!!

Happy Stamping!!
