Speedy Recovery

Many of you know that I work during the day at a law firm and one of the things I do is litigation for personal injury and medical malpractice cases. So, you can imagine that when I was looking through the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog and saw the set "To a Classic", I knew I just had to have it. It is the perfect set to set a get well card to someone who has had an auto accident!! I have a good friend who's daughter was involved in an accident and I made this card for her. I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Jet Black Stazon ink and watercolored the image using Stampin' Write Markers and an Aqua Painter. For the background, I used the Jumbo Wheel "Full Speed Ahead" and placed a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock across the Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I ran it through the Big Shot (I can't begin to tell you how much I LOVE my Big Shot) using the criss-cross pattern texturz plate from Texture Plates Kit #4!!! I I added some brads and mounted the Very Vanilla onto Wild Wasabi, then mounted that using my beloved Dimensionals onto the Chocolate Chip card (which is hard to see in the picture). One of the things I was working for was a card that could be sent to either a guy or a girl and with these colors, it works perfectly! So, you could make several of these and keep them on hand for when you need them!

Below is a picture of the stamp set and notice that it can be used for a man's birthday or for a child who has received his first car! Oh goodness, it would be great for a scrapbook page for the gift of a first car, huh!!! I do love versatile stamp sets!!!

Here is a picture of the Jumbo Wheel. Don't forget when you order the Jumbo Wheel to purchase the Jumbo Wheel Handle (103661 - $5.95). You can order the ink cartridge too to fit into the handle, but what I do it roll the wheel onto my ink pad and then roll it on my cardstock! Perfect for creating a card!!! However, if you plan on using this on a 12" x 12" scrapbook page, you need to get an ink cartridge to fit into the wheel handle!

While no one likes to get into a car accident, they will certainly love receiving a "speedy recovery"card to put a little smile on their face!!!

Happy Stamping!!

Phyllis
