Vintage Heartfelt Gratitude

Vintage. As many words in the English language go, vintage has different meanings. The vintage style has become really popular in the world of paper crafts, scrapbooking and cardmaking. Vintage . . characterized by excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal; classic. Old or outmoded. A group or collection of people or things sharing certain characteristics. Hum, so maybe I'm vintage???

I love the vintage style. It does take a little bit more work, but the end result is so pleasing. I did a vintage Christmas card that I'll be doing at a workshop tomorrow night that I love, and I'll share that with you after the workshop. This afternoon, I created this project. This did take me a bit of time because it is something that I'm learning, but, oh boy, I love how it turned out. Let me tell you how I created the background paper.

I started with the music sheet designer series paper from "Newsprint". I misted the music sheet with water and scrunched it up, then spread it back out. Then I used the new Distressing Kit (flat solid rubber stamp and Charcoal ink) to highlight the creases in the paper. Then I sprayed it with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz. I then stamped images onto the music sheet designer series paper. While it sounds like a lot of steps, it really isn't. And ... don't forget the inside of the card! It was really fun!!!

Yes, you too can step out of the box!!! Try something new .. something different .. and have fun!!!!
