Today's project is one that we created last weekend in the Bold Brights and Rich Regal Stamp Clubs and I think that it was definitely a favorite of both. I know that it was, well still is, a favorite of mine. And, it does encompass one of my favorite things, it doesn't take long to create it. Really, it doesn't!
All you have to do is stamp your image onto the Newsprint Designer Series Paper using the VersaMark pad and emboss it using Clear Embossing Powder. Then, sponge Early Expresso ink over the image. Sometimes when people sponge, it isn't dark enough. What you need to do is actually rub the sponge back and forth on the stamp pad, then rub the sponge back and forth on the paper. You'll see the image magically appear! I also added some Gold Foil Smooch Spray for a little sparkle. Also, take notice in the upper right corner, you'll see the main image duplicated, but it is very light. Here, the image is stamped using a VersaMark pad and I did not emboss the image, I just left it. VersaMark ink is very versatile and appears on almost every color of cardstock! You can emboss it, or leave it plain which creates a watermark image. You can also use it with Pastels. It is definitely a staple item in anyone's stamping supplies!! Lastly, I did some tearing and distressing of the cardstock to give it that vintage look.
The stamp set used on this project is Just Believe. It is my very favorite in the catalog! I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Check out all the stamps you get in this stamp set! You can stamp forever!!!See, I told you this card wouldn't take very long!! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and had some time to stamp!!! I'll give you a hint as to what I did ... I planned three of the projects for Stamp, Play and Create in August and they rock!!!! One more to go!! Woo hoo!! I do have some openings for the August 7, 2:00 p.m. and August 8, 2:00 p.m. class. I'd love to have you!! You won't be disappointed!
