Christmas in July

Last Thursday, I was lucky enough to do a workshop for Theresa Miller and her friends and she loves to do a Christmas in July theme. I absolutely love to do Christmas cards. Now, if I started now, I could have them all done well before Christmas, right? Ah, well that just won't work because it isn't the holidays unless there's a little pressure, huh! When I design Christmas cards, I like to use non-traditional colors. I'll admit that sometimes I actually use greens and reds, but there is just something about a Christmas card that stands out above the rest and color is one of the things that makes that happen! So, the card above is created using Concord Crush and Blushing Bride. There are two of the new In Colors that will be around for two years! Woo hoo!!! The stamp set is called Come to Bethlehem. It is so beautiful!!! Oh, check out the bling on the star!!!

Now, this is the second card that we did and one that can make with a variety of Designer Series Paper. I know that sometimes our budget prevents us from buying stamp sets that can only be used for one holiday. Here, the only stamp we needed for the card is the greeting! I love this vintage look for Christmas and I know exactly who will be getting this card!

There are some awesome Christmas sets in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog so if you want to get started, just start on pg. 30! I wonder if I'll have time this weekend to work on some more Christmas cards!!
