Tulip Bouquet

I had such a great weekend!!! Friday night was Technique Class, Saturday morning was the Brayer Class and Saturday and Sunday afternoons were the Rich Regals and Bold Brights Stamp Clubs!!! It was certainly a delightful way to spend my weekend - doing what I love!

I wanted to share with you this card made with the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch. Yup, you read it right --- it is the Bird Punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog. Take a close look at the petals of the tulips and you'll see they are made from the wings of the bird!!! The stems, well, I think that is self-explanatory. I have a picture of the bird punch below. One of the other surprising things about this punch is that it punches sooooo easy!!! Sometimes when you have a punch that has intricate designs, it's a hard punch, but nope, not this one!!

I also incorporated some of the Bold Brights colors that are going to be retired. The bottom of the card and the petals of the tulips are Pixie Pink, the stems and second layer is Green Galore and the top layer is Pink Passion. They really do look great together. As a reminder, if you need any of the colors that will be retiring, you should order them in April and May, when delivery of the product will be guaranteed. In June, these retiring colors will be on a first come, first serve basis. When the supply is exhausted, that's it! For a list of the colors retiring, click on the "Fond Farewell" chart, the second item from the top in the left column of my blog.

I hope you enjoy your Monday. Monday's get a bad rap - we have to go back to work, but you know, it's a great day to be alive!!! Enjoy!!
