I Can See Clearly Now

I have always wanted to do a "clear" card and after completing this one, I don't know why I waited so long! It was so easy and I love the way it looks!!

The stamp set that I used is Fifth Avenue Floral which is one of the sets that is 20% off during the month of April! It regularly sells for $24.95 and now you can get it for only $19.96!! Woo hoo!!! The clear part of the card is the Medium Window Sheets which are just the right thickness to create a card base. To stamp on the window sheet, you need to use Stazon White ink. When you purchase the Stazon White ink pad, you also get a bottle of reinker. The pad comes uninked, so the first time you use it, you need to ink the pad. Then, on each occasion that you use it, you need to reink the pad. When you stamp your image on the window sheet, be sure to stamp straight down on the window sheet, do not rock, and lift straight up. Since you are stamping on a window sheet, it can slide, so be a tad careful. It will take a couple of minutes to dry completely. If you do make a mistake, use your Stazon Cleaner to remove the ink and stamp again!!

One of the things to remember about creating a clear card is you can see the back of your cardstock, so when you put something on the front, you need to put the same size cardstock (or just a bit smaller) on the inside. See how I stamped the words on white cardstock and mounted them in the middle? Then, I put the ribbon around the front to hide the adhesive. I did use Snail which was very subtle.

Also, the card size is 4" x 4" and you can get four cards out of one window sheets (with eight cards from one package of window sheets). I think once you get started creating this gorgeous cards, you won't be able to stop. They are addicting!!!!
