Simple is Good

One thing I have learned in my Stampin' Up! life is that simple is good. There was one point where I did these really complex cards, lots of techniques and other stuff. They were really pretty and people liked them, but the one comment I would hear is that they took way too much time to do and wouldn't be replicated! That really stuck with me and now when I create cards, I keep this factor in mind. I focus on cards that are quick, easy and gorgeous and, most importantly, I want you to be able to duplicate the card! Here is an example of one of those cards!

The cardstock that I used is Confetti White. It has these little "flakes" of color throughout and it just goes with every color! It is also a great cardstock to use by itself! All I did was stamp the image from the Happy Moments Stamp Set with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder. Then I colored in the image using Watercolor Pencils and my Blender Pen. My last touch was to apply Crystal Effects on top of the flowers. You could make a ton of these and package them up in lots of 6 cards and envelopes and they are the perfect gift! Matter of fact, you could keep some on hand when you need a last minute gift! Gotta love it!
