Side Step Card

This is one of the projects that we did this past weekend at the Hostess Appreciation Workshop. I had seen so many of these cards and kept wondering how to make them. Finally, I found directions and was eager to share it with you. Click here for the pattern to create the basic card.

I used my favorite DSP - Holiday Lounge (are you getting tired of seeing this??). The stamp set is Snow Swirled and the Merry Christmas greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. If you haven't added Teeny Tiny Wishes to your stamp collection, you should! It contains 24 greeting stamps that take you through every occasion! On the left panel, I used the Snowflake punch for the embellishment. Now, since this punch is so intricate, it really only works well with designer series paper. I did try it on textured cardstock and it worked, put it was hard to punch through.

I've listed below the measurements for the cardstock so you can create this type of card. I think you'll fall in love with this design -- and hey, it fits in the standard size envelope! Woo hoo!!!

Whisper White: 1-3/4" x 4"; 3-1/4" x 1"; 3" x 3-1/2"
Taken with Teal: 3-1/4" x 3-3/4"; 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
DSP: 1-5/8" x 3-7/8"; 3-1/8" x 7/8"; scrap for snowflake

Here are the stamp sets that we used:

Have an awesome day -- hope you get the chance to STAMP!
