How to Use the New Clear Mounted Stampin' Up! Stamps

When you receive the new Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration catalog the end of the month, you'll discover something new! Clear Mount Stamps! I'm really excited about this new development and of course on December 1, I placed my order! As a demonstrator, we are allowed to pre-order items in the mini catalogs (one of many reasons I love being a demonstrator). This gives us a chance to get familiar with new products in the mini catalogs and stamp, play and create!!! I know many of you are really curious about the clear mounted stamps, so below are some pictures on how to mount your clear mount stamps!

The stamps come in a plastic DVD case with the images of the stamp set on the front cover. They are also on the spine of the case, as well as the name of the stamp set.

When you open the case, you'll have two things - the padded rubber stamps and the sticker sheet. Don't worry, the rubber sheet of stamps is die cut, so you don't have to cut out the images. Also, the stickers are die cut so no cutting there either! Isn't life great!!

Next, punch out the stamp that you want to apply the sticker to. See - it is die cut!

The sticker sheet contains a backing. Over each image, you'll see a slit where you can pull off the backing for the image exposing the sticker sheet.

Pull off the backing from the rubber stamp (I tend to forget this step!!)

Next, place the stamp onto the sticker.

Lift the stamp off of the sticker sheet and you'll see the sticker is now on the stamp ready to be used!!

After mounting the sticker sheets on all the stamps, place them in the DVD folder. The stickers are made from cling sheets and will stick to the inside of the DVD case.

When you are ready to use your stamp, take it out of the DVD case and press it onto the clear mount block. Hold it in place for about 30 seconds to securely hold it on the clear mount.

You can apply more than one image to a clear mount block!!! Doesn't that make it much easier!!!

I hope this tutorial helps. The stamp set I have shared with you is called Abundant Hope and the Clear Mount Stamp Set sells for $13.95. If you don't like the new clear mount option, you can still purchase the stamp set wood mounted for $17.95.

You can start ordering from the Occasions Mini Catalog on January 5, 2010! Mark this date on your calendar -- you'll love this new catalog!
