Sharing the Opportunity

During my beginning years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I attended one of our annual Conventions in Las Vegas. On my way to the hotel with a group of other demonstrators, we were discussing how lucky we were to be there and the excitement on the shuttle was something I wish I could share with everyone. One of the demonstrators was, as I say, high up on the food chain. She was talking about recruiting which is something that I really never did. She said that she shares the opportunity with everyone. Now, I'm a tad skeptical at this point thinking that she might be a little pushy. Then she said something that really made me think -- she asked us to think why we are Stampin' Up! demonstrators and why in the world wouldn't we want to share that with people. I really didn't say much during this whole conservation, but I absorbed every single word that was said.

Why was I a Stampin' Up! demonstrator? Well, at first it was because I wanted to discount on my merchandise. Even back in 2001, I wanted the whole darn catalog and knew that if I did purchase it, I would be coming home to a very lonely house because it probably would have put my husband over the edge! So, I approached my demonstrator and told her I wanted to sign up "for the discount". Little did I know of all the benefits that were waiting for me by becoming a demonstrator! At this point in my life, I certainly did not have a lot of friends, was pretty much a home body, and to speak in front of a bunch of women, I thought was the most ridiculous idea I ever heard of.

A few months after receiving my Starter Kit, I decided to have an open house to see if any of my friends would be interested in stamping. I just knew when I stamped, it made me happy and I thought that it might have the same effect on other people. Well, I did have quite a few people attend and one of my friends signed up shortly thereafter and has been a demonstrator ever since. I am truly blessed to have built my business to include many customers and a great downline and they love stamping as much as I do.

Now, let me tell you about the gifts that I have received from stamping. I'm not talking about material gifts, I'm talking about priceless gifts. During the past eight years, we (you and me) have shared our lives . . . the ups and downs. I realize that I have developed friendships with my customers and now feel sometimes funny calling you customers, because quite frankly, you are my friends. You have accepted me for me and I can't tell you how much that means to me. I've been fortunate enough through Stampin' Up! to have been able to go from working a full time job to working part time at my day job so I can devote more time to my Stampin' Up! business which I never thought I'd be able to do. I get to travel to attend Stampin' Up! events and look forward to seeing demonstrators from all over the country when I attend these sessions. My downline is awesome and I know always willing to lend a helping hand whenever I need it! This is just the tip of the iceburg!

I know this is a tad long, but I do want to share the opportunity with you -- the opportunity to build friendships and have a great time. As I sit here typing up this post, I hear the constant TV chatter of the economy which is at the front of our thoughts. However, I know that it is important during these stressful times to do something we enjoy and people need this. We all have budgets that we need to adhere to, but people are setting aside the funds for a recreational activity that brings them joy -- such as stamping!

Right now, Stampin' Up! is offering the Starter Kit for only $169 with FREE shipping. While you might not think so, this is a great time to sign up to become a demonstrator. The only requirement is that you place $300 in orders each quarter, that's it. And if you sign up in February or March, you would not have to meet the $300 quota until April - June quarter. Now, when you place your first order, you get 30% OFF the order which is also great because there are so many things you probably want in the 2009 Spring Summer Idea Book and Catalog! After that order, you get 20% off of every order! You can also earn additional cash benefits depending on your sales each month.

I would love the opportunity to share this opportunity with you. If you are interested, please contact me. Don't be afraid that I will pressure you to sign up, because I won't. I will share with you the benefits, which I've only touched on in this post, and let you make the decision if the time is right for you. Below is a list of the items that you'll receive in the Starter Kit. ALSO, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT, IF YOU SIGN UP NOW, YOU CAN SELECT A STAMP SET VALUED AT $47.95 OR LESS FREE!!! WOW!!!
