Central Park

Today, I decided to go outside my box and try some different color combinations. Hey, guess what, I didn't use my Big Shot on this card! Two outta three (but just wait until tomorrow)!!

I started with Riding Hood Red and More Mustard and loved the way they looked together, but needed just one more color! I took my cardstock over to my ribbon bin and held it against the different colors and couldn't believe how awesome the Baja Breeze ribbon looked with the More Mustard and Riding Hood Red. It was exactly what it needed!!!

The image is from the Central Park stamp set and was stamped using Riding Hood Red and the words (from Always in My Thoughts) were stamped with Craft Basic Black ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I sponged around the edge of the Confetti White cardstock with More Mustard ink for a softer look. Also, I tied some Linen Thread around the Riding Hood Red button and adhered the button with Mini Glue Dots.

Next time you get ready to stamp, start with two colors ... and hold your cardstock up against other colors. You never know what you'll find!
