Butterfly Box

While I had my Sweet Slumber Specialty Paper on my table, I decided to create this box and embellish it with a multi-layer butterfly using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Dies. It was really easy to create this box. The bottom of the box was cut to 8" x 7", then you score 2" on each side and adhere the ends. For the top, the paper measures 6-1/8" x 5-1/8" and you score 1" on each side and adhere the ends. I used Sticky Strip to adhere the ends to create a secure box.

For the butterfly, I adhered the layers together in the middle with Sticky Strip and curled up the ends of the butterfly layers with a pencil. For the body of the butterfly, I took a hat pin from the Pretties Kit and put on some of the pearls and with silver spacers in between the pearls. Since the hat pin was a little long, I cut off part of the pin and curled in the tip so those pearls wouldn't come off. Lastly, I applied Crystal Effects to the middle of the butterfly on the top layer, and set the hat pin with the pearls onto the Crystal Effects. It really came out so nice!!! The butterfly was adhered to the box with Dimensionals.

This box would be gorgeous to give to someone with a little gift or full of candy. It you can't bear to part with it, you can use it to store some of your stamping supplies!!!

Happy creating!!!
