November Scrapbooking with Phyllis

Our November Scrapbooking Class was a huge success! We prepared a two page spread using the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper and included some of the Felt Flurries from the Holiday Mini Catalog. You'll see the "Peace & Joy & Love & Cheer" was cut from the same Decorative Strip Die. As in the last class, I"m still pulling pictures from 1990! I might get that year done soon!!!!!

Our scrapbook class would not be complete without a little play session!! We experimented watercoloring the flowers from the Pretties Kit and then embossing them! They turned out too cute and I can't wait to show you how to do it!!!!

I hope you can come to the January Scrapbooking with Phyllis Class scheduled for Sunday, January 25, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. Class fee is $20. I hope you can make the class!!!

A Snowy Day in New York

Hi everyone!!! We are enjoying a snowy day here in New York at my sister's house, our last day before we head home. It's been a wonderful relaxing day, including an afternoon nap -- ah!!! Yesterday, we had a workshop for my sister's customers and did the projects featured in my November Stamp, Play and Create.

Pictured is a cute Photo Holder using an old CD. All we did was cut a circle from the Ski Slope DSP and attach it to the CD using Towbow Multi Liquid Glue (which is the bomb!!) The bird and flowers were cut using the Birds and Blooms Sizzlets. I also included a little gift tag in the lower left corner that just slips into the clip and you can remove it. Now, if you don't have a picture to put on the CD, you can always stamp a Christmas image and use this to decorate your home. Also, it is a gorgeous inexpensive gift that many people would love to have!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday as we enter our countdown to Christmas!!! I do feel in the holiday spirit with the snow up here! It is beautiful, but then, I only have to deal with it for a brief time! I wouldn't like to have to deal with it on a daily basis! Wish Mickey and me a safe drive home tomorrow!!!!

Christ Is Born

I know sometimes I say "I have SO many Christmas sets, I certainly don't need anymore!" Sound familiar? Well, that lasts about 5 minutes when I see a card done with a Christmas set that I don't have! I fall in love with the card ... and have to have the set!!!! (Are you sure this isn't sounding familiar??)

The Christ Is Born stamp set is one that I purchased this season. I believe this stamp set really is spectacular because it's simple and the message is perfect ... and really is the reason for the season!!! I've created this card using Real Red and Old Olive, two of the colors in the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper!

If you are still thinking about creating your holiday cards and think you don't have enough time to do them -- purchase the Christ Is Born Card Kit! It won't take you very long and the recipients of this card will cherish it forever!!!

The Christ Is Born Card Kit comes with the Christ Is Born Stamp Set and enough PRECUT cardstock and ribbon to create 20 cards, including 20 Whisper White Envelopes for $45.00! Hurry, as this is a limited time offer -- last day to order is December 2!!! Kits will be ready for pick up on December 9!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and if you are traveling .. be safe!

Country Living Holiday Collection

The last couple of days, I've had so much fun using the chipboard and die-cut designer series paper to create gorgeous gift tags and ornaments! Matter of fact, I had a FREE class on Nov. 21 and 22 for those individuals who purchased the kit so they could come, play and get some ideas! This ornament is one of my favorites, although I really do love them all!

Would you like to see all the other items I've created???? Well, click here!!!! Even with all those items, I still have plenty of goodies left and will be posting some additional items soon!!!

If you haven't purchased the Country Living Holiday Collection Kit yet, you won't want to miss out on this!!!! The kits are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!!!! You can do this right on line, by going to my Stampin' Up! Website and click on the "Shop Now" icon in the upper right corner. The click on the "Specials" link, then "Country Living"! You've love this kit -- I promise!!!!!

CD Holder

Everyone loves gifts, now don't they? Now, we all love to see pictures, especially when we are separated by miles. Fortunately, technology makes it really easy to share photographs! One of the best gifts to give -- is the gift of photos! An easy way to share them is by downloading them on a disk and sending them. Of course, you could send them by email, but then you have to wait for them to upload ... well, you know the story!

At the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar held in Virginia Beach, Virginia on November 8, they shared an adorable CD holder. I could wait to get home and make my own -- and here it is!! Of course, the first picture is the outside, but check out the inside!! Isn't this too freakin' adorable!!!! If you can't see the details, just click on the picture and it enlarges -- ah, technology again!!! The colors that I used for this project are Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point, which are two of the In Colors that are currently featured in the Stampin' Up! Fall Winter 2008 Idea Book and catalog. Don't they look great together. Also, notice that I incorporated a flower from the Pretties Kit! You know the Pretties Kit -- its that awesome box with all these gadgets -- white flowers in different sizes, clear rhinestone brads, hat pins, beads, etc. Something else we learned at the Regional Seminar was that you can color the flowers using the ink and Aqua Painter. All you do is touch the Aqua Painter to the pad and "paint" it on the flower!!! You can create two or three color flowers -- it's totally up to you.

I hope you'll share the gift of photos with someone you love -- and this is the perfect presentation for such a heartfelt gift! When mailing, please place it in a padded CD envelope -- that way it will arrive in perfect condition!!!
